This guide will walk you through recording your Raisely withdrawals in Aplos. It's a breeze!

What’s happening in reality?

  • Donations: When kind folks donate to your organization through Raisely, the money goes to your Raisely Stripe account.
  • Withdrawals: Stripe gathers these donations and sends them to your checking account as a single withdrawal (this is what shows up on your bank statement.)
  • Aplos Mirroring: To keep your accounting accurate, you'll need to mirror this process in Aplos.
  • Fund Accounting: Given that we’re doing Fund accounting, the Funds that were donated to actually matter in order to make sure we retain the proper fund balances when this money moves from one account to another.

How do I record this Withdrawal in Aplos?

Check Your Fund Balances

  1. Balance Sheet by Fund Report: Open the Balance Sheet by Fund Report.

  2. Report Date: Set the report date to the date of the withdrawal.

  3. Filters: Include all funds in your filters.
  4. Note the Balances: Jot down the fund balances for the Raisely Stripe Asset account.

Record the Transfer

  1. Open the Register: Go to the Register in Aplos and select the Raisely Stripe Register from the dropdown

  2. Create the Transaction: If there are multiple funds, you’ll need to split the transfer amount according to the fund balances you noted earlier. For example, if your General Fund has $100 and your Mission Fund has $50, you'd split the transfer accordingly using the same “Checking” account for each line.

That's it! You've successfully recorded your Raisely withdrawal in Aplos. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.

Bank Integration Tip:

If you've connected your checking account via Bank Integration, you can also record the transfer there by splitting it by fund while you import it.

This way, you'll see the settlements from Stripe as they come in. You’ll just need to repeat the above steps to get the fund balances from the report, then split that incoming Bank Integration Stripe deposit.
