When you receive donations through Raisely with AplosPay, Stripe sends that money to your bank as a payout. Aplos now records those payouts for you. They appear on the AplosPay Withdrawals page, ready to import. It's the same withdrawals workflow you may already use for AplosPay, and it now covers your Raisely donations too.
You no longer need to create manual transfers or journal entries for new Raisely payouts.
Before You Start
- Your Raisely Designations should be mapped to your Aplos Purposes, and your purposes must be linked to your accounting. This lets donations post to your merchant (Stripe) register correctly. If donations aren't posting to the merchant register, the transfers will be incomplete.
- Have your bank statement handy so you can match each payout to a deposit.
How to Import Your Raisely Payouts
Step 1: Go to Your Stripe Register
Select “Fund Accounting” from the navigation menu. Then click “Transactions” and “Registers.” Next, change your Account Register to your Stripe Register. This is your merchant register.
Step 2: Select AplosPay Withdrawals
When in your merchant register, click “AplosPay Withdrawals” on the right side of the screen:
On this page, you'll see two tabs: Pending and Historic.
When you click “Import,” a confirmation dialog appears. It shows the source account, deposit account, and total. Importing can't be undone from that screen.
Step 3: Review a Payout
On the Pending tab, find the transfer that matches a deposit on your bank statement. Click the transfer to see which donations are included in it.
Aplos splits transfers across the proper funds, but we always recommend double-checking to make sure your fund balances are correct.
Step 4: Import or Ignore
Check the box next to the transfer, then click “Import” or “Ignore.”
- Import posts the transfer between your Stripe register and your deposit (bank) account in Aplos.
- Ignore removes the transfer from Pending and moves it to Historic. Use this if you've already recorded the deposit yourself, for example by following our manual Raisely withdrawals guide, so it isn't recorded twice.
Step 5: Check Your History
The Historic tab shows all transfers between Stripe and your deposit account, including any you've ignored. You can unhide a transfer to bring it back to Pending, but please double-check that it hasn't already been recorded first.
Step 6: Reconcile
Reconcile your bank account as usual. Each imported withdrawal should match a deposit on your bank statement.
Items To Consider
- Payout timing: New payouts appear on the Pending tab after Stripe sends them, typically around 5–7 PM PT. Timing is set by Stripe and may vary.
- Bank timing: Card donations typically reach your bank in about 2–3 business days, and ACH donations in about 5–8 business days. Timing may vary.
- Bank Integration users: Import the withdrawal from AplosPay Withdrawals or match the bank feed deposit, but not both. Doing both would record the transfer twice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I still need the manual “Recording Raisely Withdrawals” steps?
Not for new payouts. Aplos now creates them for you on the AplosPay Withdrawals page.
I already recorded a deposit by hand. What should I do if it also appears in Pending?
Select the transfer and click “Ignore.” It moves to the Historic tab so you don't record it twice.
The donations in a payout don't add up to my bank deposit. What should I do?
Don't adjust anything yet. Contact raisely-migration@aplos.com with the payout date and amount, and we'll look into it.
