Once you have enabled tags and recorded transactions toward them, a dedicated Tag-Based Reports section appears on your Reports tab. If you have multiple tag dimensions enabled, you will see a separate report section for each dimension.

For each Tag Dimension enabled, you have four base tag reports available, along with several comparative variations:

Tag Statement

This report shows you the overall net income, expense, and potentially budget amounts for each Tag within the type you chose. You can then click on an amount to drill down to the Transaction List by Tag.

  • Variations: You can run different versions, including one split out by month, and others comparing the current month to last month or the current month to the year.
  • Tag Statement by Fund: This variation is a comparative report that shows the Tags on the left panel with the individual Funds broken out as columns across the top, showing the net impact of each Tag on each Fund.

Income Statement by Tag

This report shows you the total income, expense, and net income for the Tag type you chose. You can filter down to specific Tags, and drill down to a transaction list for that account / Tag by clicking on the amounts shown.

Note: If you have many Tags, you can change the report layout to show the results as separate pages instead of columns

Tag Budget to Actual Reports

If you utilize Advanced Budgeting to set budgets for your Tags, you will see two specialized reports:

  • Tag Budget to Actual (Net): This report shows your Tags on the left panel and nets the actual income/expenses for each Tag against its budgeted net amount.
  • Budget to Actual by Tag (Detailed): This report generates a separate page for each individual Tag, showing the income and expense accounts on the left panel and comparing the actual amounts to the budgeted amounts for that specific Tag

Transaction List by Tag

This report shows all transactions entered for the Tag type you chose. You can filter down to specific Tags, and drill down to transactions by clicking on the amounts shown.

The report will break down the transactions and generate a separate page for each individual Tag, listing all transactions associated with it.

Untagged Transactions

This report shows you any transactions that do not currently have a tag tied to it from that particular tag dimension. You can use this list to quickly find and update transactions that need to be tagged for complete reporting.
