Raisely Integration Improvements (Action Required)

We’ve released an upgraded Raisely > Aplos integration experience to improve syncing reliability and better support fund accounting workflows.

Important: action is required. To implement these improvements, you’ll need to reconnect your integration in Aplos. Until you do, your Raisely > Aplos integration will not sync as expected.

What’s New?

Designations in Raisely allow organizations to categorize transactions into specific funds/purposes so donor intent and internal reporting stay clear and consistent. This integration update supports that Designations-first model. We have also improved how the connection is set up and maintained going forward.

What’s Changed

With this release, the biggest workflow shift is that Aplos is now the system of record for integration setup and mapping. Instead of configuring mapping behavior in Raisely, users will connect, manage, and maintain the integration in Aplos. In Raisely, you’ll primarily use the integration surfaces to confirm connection status and follow “Manage in Aplos” paths when changes are needed.

The Raisely integration now operates in a Designations-first model. When the Raisely ↔ Aplos integration is connected, Designations are forced on and can’t be disabled, so it’s important to keep your Designations structure intentional and up to date.

A key new habit is that whenever your team creates a new Designation in Raisely, you’ll need to promptly map it in Aplos—otherwise transactions that use that Designation will route to the Default Purpose in Aplos. Raisely will provide in-app guidance (including messaging that points you to Aplos) to help prevent misattribution. Learn more about Designations in Raisely.

Finally, when sync issues occur, admins can use the new Resync tool—including visibility into failure reasons and retry flows—to diagnose and resolve problems faster without relying on manual workarounds or waiting on support to push records through.

Why it Matters

  • More accurate attribution in accounting: Transactions can be tied more cleanly to the intended fund/purpose, reducing manual clean-up and misclassification risk.
  • Clearer configuration & mapping experience: Setup is designed to be easier to follow and maintain over time, with fewer “where do I do this?” moments.
  • Improved reliability & troubleshooting: A more consistent workflow helps reduce sync issues and makes it easier to keep things running smoothly.

How to Get Started

  1. Create your Designations in Raisely and assign to your Campaigns.
  2. Review the updated integration instructions.
  3. Follow the steps to reconnect/confirm your setup.
  4. Verify syncing is running normally again.
