Oversight Dashboard
Once you have successfully created your Oversight account and added your subsidiary organizations, the first thing you’ll see when you log into your dashboard is a comprehensive overview of your organizations and their data. Here’s a breakdown of the key features and functionalities of the Oversight dashboard and how you can effectively manage your tasks and information.
Task Management
The dashboard gives you the ability to manage tasks with ease. At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find an option to Manage Tasks. By clicking on this option, you can:
- Add new tasks that need to be done.
- Organize these tasks into a sequence for later reference.
- View and track the status of your tasks from the task management area.
Search and Filter Options
In the search section, you can quickly find the organizations you’re working with. By default, the dashboard shows only the active or enabled organizations. However, if you’re missing a subsidiary organization, it might be in an expired state. You can toggle the filter to include any or disabled organizations, which will allow you to view all connected entities.
If you have a long list of organizations, you can also use the search bar to find a specific organization by name. This makes it easier to pinpoint exactly what you’re looking for without having to scroll through all of them.
Customizable Dashboard Views
The dashboard allows you to customize the information you want to see at a glance. To do this, click on the plus sign icon on the far right of the dashboard.
Here, you’ll have the option to add:
- Manage Console: View tasks and organization details directly.
- Revenue, Expenses, & Net: Display income and expenses for each organization, including net income for the selected date range.
- Donors: View how many donors have given for the selected date range
- Roll-Up Reports: Enable or disable the option to include subsidiary organizations in your roll-up reports.
- Time Logged: Track the time you’ve logged for specific tasks.
- Task Status: See the status of tasks (completed or pending) for each organization. Completed tasks will show green while tasks to do will show in red
- Exchange Rates: View and update exchange rates for each organization right on the dashboard by clicking the dropdown to select the county, or manually enter the exchange rate directly in the box
Actionable Insights
For many of the options you toggle on, there are direct actions you can take. These allow you to manage tasks, view reports, and update information without leaving the dashboard.
- Roll-Up Reports: You can choose whether or not to include your subsidiary organizations in the roll-up reports.
- Exchange Rates: If exchange rates are enabled, you can set and view the current rates for each organization directly from the dashboard, avoiding the need to navigate to the settings.
- Management Console: allows you can take a closer look at specific organizations:
- Review the organization’s details.
- Leave notes about any relevant updates or information.
- Track and mark off tasks for that particular organization. Once tasks are checked off, they automatically update in your task management area.

By leveraging the features such as task management, customizable views, direct actions, and comprehensive reporting options, you can streamline your workflow and ensure everything is in order for the organizations you oversee.
